Without much announcement, Google has started rolling out a useful feature for Maps. We show what the update brings.
Navigation could soon become more impressive for Google Maps users, as the latest update brings 3D buildings while guiding a route. Until now, this impressive display was limited to the regular map display.
To enjoy this feature, users must ensure that 3D view is activated before starting navigation and that they zoom in on the map. Some lucky people have even reported seeing transparent 3D buildings appear in Google Maps on Android Auto when they overlap a path.
