A health official in Gaza told various media outlets that Israeli air strikes on refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip left 100 dead and 158 wounded in the past 24 hours. Among the dead was a journalist from a television channel Jerusalem TVJabr Abu Hadros and six of his relatives were killed, according to the channel linked to the Islamic Jihad movement.
For several days, the Israeli army has been launching an attack on the Bureij, Nuseirat, and Maghazi refugee camps located south of the Gaza Valley River, which divides the Strip into north and south. A Bureij resident told the Associated Press news agency that he heard gunfire last night, followed by intense airstrikes this morning.
“They are striking everywhere,” Saeed Mustafa, a Nuseirat resident, told the AP. “Families are being killed in their homes and in the streets. They are killing everywhere.” This was confirmed by Mustafa Abu Wawi, a resident of Nuseirat. “The occupiers are doing everything in their power to force people to leave,” he says, searching for survivors among the rubble. Our spirit and our will, but they will fail. We're not going anywhere.
