The mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, gained threatening and racist messages above an buy requiring inhabitants to have on confront coverings though in community areas — the worst of which declared that he “should swing from a tree” for instituting the coverage.
Quinton Lucas, who is black, shared the texts and a doctored photo he been given in a Twitter thread Monday — the same day his mask buy took effect.

The threats present a string of texts accusing the mayor of “not responding to whites.” The sender also appeared to be upset about the mask prerequisite, asking “What are the repercussions for not wearing a mask in public starting up Tuesday?”
