Severe thunderstorms caused flooding and mudslides in various places in Tyrol on Friday evening. The fire brigade had to intervene in more than 90 places in the state Tyrolean Tageszeitung. Larin and her family arrived at their hotel in Tyrol on Friday. “We went to eat and then suddenly the siren went off. We went to our room and from our balcony we saw mud pouring down. We were very shocked and immediately thought of our car which was downstairs in the garage.”

Several guests made another unsuccessful attempt to get their car out of the garage. According to Austrian media, several roads around the Arlberg massif were closed, including due to landslides.
