Leaseplan car company is the first Dutch company to impose a vaccination obligation on employees

The FNV union is furious in the papers about Leaseplan’s vaccination commitment. Vice President Kitty Jong does not want employers to “abuse their positions of power” by forcing employees, directly or indirectly, to vaccinate. According to her, this conflicts with the right to privacy and the right to bodily integrity. If a democratically elected government, with the approval of the House of Representatives, opts for compulsory vaccination, that is a thing. But if the employer takes the right to oblige employees, this is frowned upon. The union would like to discuss the matter with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.
