The gentlemen of Little Switzerland were the first team to reach the Gold Cup final on Tuesday night. The Hague formation defeated Fordan in the semi-finals. In Groenekan the score was 2-4, after 1-2 in the first half. Big League side Klein Zwizzerland will play the final on Thursday, April 28th against the winner of another semi-final match between HDM and Den Bosch, which takes place on Thursday (8:30 p.m.).
In the Voordaan promotion division, they grabbed huge attention from fans in the semi-finals before the semi-finals. This publicity did not go unnoticed, because it was full on Tuesday evening in the sports park in Groningen. With the support of all those fans in the full stands, the host team hit from the kickoffs and Kasper Roelofs lead 1-0.
Even before the break, coach Omar Schlingmann’s team turned the tide of the match. With a goal from Nico Kenan and Albert Beltran, the score was 1-2 in favor of the Hague team after two quarters.

The home team’s players left the field to loud applause from the crowd. They fought for what they deserved, but that wasn’t enough to reach the Gold Cup final.
