The Ministry of Justice, having spent 67 thousand hryvnia and received from the proceeds of the paid cells, carried out repairs in the free cell in the pre-trial detention center in Kiev.
This was announced by Justice Minister Denis Mallowska on his Facebook page on Saturday, July 10.
“I know you can’t wait to see what we have of free camera fixes at the expense of paid cameras. Because this is more interesting than the UEFA European Football Final,” the minister wrote.
He said that 67,239 hryvnias were spent on the repair of the cell, and all the money was taken from the paid cells in the pre-trial detention center. Repair work was carried out in a free cell for 22 people.

The photographs before and after the renovation are strikingly different: the windows were replaced with metal-plastic ones, plumbing, linoleum, tiles were replaced, the walls were painted. In the cell appeared a new TV and bedside tables.
Recall, according to March 2021 data, the Ministry of Justice earned UAH 2795326 with the help of paid cameras. All funds earned during the trial are directed to the restoration of free cells in the pre-trial detention center.
We also showed how we repaired the colony in which Yulia Tymoshenko was imprisoned. The replenishment was carried out at the expense of the fund filled with the effort of the convicts.
