Meghan gave her first UK speech since leaving for California. Prince Harry’s wife spoke about young people at the One Young World Summit in Manchester, an annual gathering of young people who want to change the world. Her story began with “It’s good to be back in the UK”.
“I see the world through my children and try to imagine what the world will be like when they grow up,” she continues. “You are the ones driving positive and necessary change around the world right now, right now. I am so grateful to be with you today.”
The Sussexes, who have been living in America since their return to the British royal family in early 2021, were last in the UK in June. Then the prince and his wife came to celebrate the jubilee of the throne of Queen Elizabeth.
It was announced last month that Harry and Meghan will be coming to England, where they will visit several charities. They will be in Manchester on Monday for a conference and on Thursday in London for the WellChild Awards, an awards ceremony for children and young people facing life-threatening conditions and diseases in a variety of ways.
