Messenger is currently a very popular platform, which has become the number one choice for many users around the world. Developed by the Facebook team, Messenger is working more and more optimally with many improvements promising to match and improve the user experience.
However, one thing you sometimes don’t know is that Messenger doesn’t have a “Sign out” button right in the app. This causes a lot of trouble for users when they mistakenly borrow a friend’s/relative’s device to sign in and then can’t sign out.
So far Facebook hasn’t explained why they decided that Messenger won’t be able to log out directly from the app. Many argue that since Messenger is the primary means of messaging, the Facebook team doesn’t want to interrupt users.

To be able to sign out of Messenger without deleting and reinstalling the app, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Facebook and select Settings > Account Settings
Step 2: Select Password & Security > Where to sign in
Here, you can see the list of account login tasks on different devices of your Facebook account. You need to find the notification to log into your Facebook account via Messenger, tap on the three-dot icon and select Sign out.
