Mark Zuckerberg sees the future of the Internet in his book, Metaverse. But the app seems to be so broken that its developers don’t want to use it.

Horizon Worlds is Mark Zuckerberg’s flagship project when it comes to the Metaverse – a 3D digital world that aims to change the way we communicate with each other. However, the program is currently suffering from such quality problems that its developers do not want to spend their time in the virtual world, as reported by “The Verge”. The technical journal refers to an internal document of the definition group.
The message was sent to Meta employees in mid-September. In it, the Vice President of Meta, Vishal Shah, imposed a so-called “quality insurance” on his team until the end of the year. Until then, they want to make sure that “quality gaps and performance issues” are fixed before “Horizon Worlds” is made available to other users.
“Feedback from developers, users, testers, and others on our team shows that our community is facing challenges because of […] Shah’s letter was quoted by The Verge as saying that stability issues and bugs make it difficult to experience the magic of Horizon.

At least once a week to the Metaverse
Shah complained that the developers of the Metaverse did not use the software as much as they wanted. “Why don’t we love the product we developed so much that we want to use it all the time?” If it wasn’t used by the team itself, Shah said, no one could expect users to like it.
In another message from the end of September, the meta director addressed the topic again. Since employees are still not sufficiently benefiting from Horizon Worlds, a management plan is being drawn up. The goal is for the teams involved to use the program at least once a week.
“Everyone in this organization should make it their mission to fall in love with Horizon Worlds,” Shah said. And you can’t do that without using it. “Ride. Organize times to do this with your colleagues or friends.”
$10 billion Metaverse
The Metaverse of the Facebook Meta group is becoming more and more a laughingstock. At the start of the 3D “Horizon Worlds” in France and Spain in mid-August, Zuckerberg posted a photo section that sparked ridicule on the Internet.
The photo showed his avatar in a barren landscape in front of a virtual replica of the Eiffel Tower and the Sagrat Kore Church. “I am delighted to see how people are discovering and building immersive worlds themselves,” Zuckerberg wrote. The photo from Metaverse, where the group invested about $10 billion, looked like a drawing from a computer game from 1998.

Swisscom is reconsidering the controversy over fiber optic network expansion. Home and apartment owners will soon be able to order fiber optic connections again, about which Swisscom is not using a controversial method.
Only every fourth fast internet connection in Switzerland was based on fiber optic technology at the end of 2021. This value is in the so-called FTTH (Fiber to the Home) connections Low in international comparison – and has recently increased slowly. This is also due to the fact that Swisscom has built hundreds of thousands of connections, but is not allowed to issue them to its clients.
