The Oranje qualified for Euro 2025, with the Netherlands doing so with a 1-1 draw against Norway in their final qualifier thanks to a late goal from Vivianne Miedema.
With this result, Andries Jonker's team finished second in the group, which was enough to secure a place at the European Championship in Switzerland.
Difficult start
As in the previous match, against Italy, Andries Jonker's team failed to convince. In the first half, the Orange Women again failed to have a shot on target between the posts. It was the first time since 2017 that the team had not had a single shot on target in the first 45 minutes of a match in two consecutive matches.

European Championship ticket in the bag
After an hour of play, the Dutch were defeated. Norway took the lead through captain Caroline Graham Hansen. A corner kick was poorly handled by Kirsten Kasparij, allowing the Norwegian captain to shoot. With this goal, Norway practically went to the European Championship.
The Netherlands almost lost their ticket to the European Championship, but that changed in the 80th minute. Vivianne Miedema headed well from a cross by Chasity Grant. After that, Jonker's team held on, leaving the score at 1-1 and the Dutch team heading to the European Championship in Switzerland.
Italy are the group winners and go directly to the European Championship. Norway and Finland are condemned to the playoffs.
