British SME entrepreneurs will soon have another financing option: Mollie Capital. Mollie has announced that it has launched its integrated business finance service in the UK.
In countries where Mollie Capital is already offered, SMEs – who have been processing payments via Mollie for more than three months – can apply for financing. In the Netherlands, up to 350,000 euros can be requested, in Belgium and Germany the financing limit is up to 250,000 euros, and in the United Kingdom the maximum financing is 250,000 euros.

Entrepreneurs can apply for funding via the Mollie Dashboard, and are then evaluated on several aspects. One of the most important criteria is Mollie's transaction history.
Overall, more than 5,000 SMEs from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands (the countries where the service was originally launched in 2022) have applied for funding through Mollie – with a total value of more than €50 million.
“Small and medium-sized businesses often struggle to obtain the financing needed to compete with larger players in the e-commerce sector,” explains Mollie CEO Quinn Coppen.
“I am proud that we can now also make a difference for companies from the UK. This way they can quickly and flexibly obtain the capital needed, for example, to make important investments or prepare for the peak season.
