The Summer Olympics will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Morocco is represented in ten sports, both at the individual and team levels.
Moroccan athletes qualified for athletics, rowing, boxing, wild dancing, cycling, football (under 23 years), taekwondo, archery, equestrian sports and rowing.
Fatima Al-Zahraa participates in taekwondo, and Bilal Malakh and Fatima Al-Zahraa Al-Mamouni participate in break dancing. Three female boxers qualified through the continental qualifiers: Khadija Al-Mardi (75 kg), Yasmine Al-Muttaqi (50 kg), and Dad Bartal (54 kg).
The athletics team consists of world champion Sufyan Al-Bakali, Abdel-Ati Al-Qassas, Anas Al-Saei and Noura Al-Nadi. More athletes may join after the qualifying competitions, which continue until the end of June.
Mathis Seoudi and Ashraf Al-Aidi qualified for the kayak, and Idris Hafari for the shooting in the dirt category. Yassin Al-Rahmouni and Nour Al-Salawi participate in equestrian sports, Magdoline Al-Alawi in rowing, and Nadim Laghoushi in BMX cycling.
The Moroccan women's soccer team still has a chance to win a ticket to the Olympic Games. The team must reach the final round of the qualifiers at the expense of Tunisia.
