Twitter has recently gained record numbers of new users. This was stated by CEO Elon Musk, who has been the new owner of the social media company for some time now.
According to Musk’s tweets, there were over 2 million new user sign-ups per day in the seven days through November 16th. This is a 66 percent increase compared to the same week a year ago. The average number of minutes users were active that week averaged nearly 8 billion minutes per day, which Musk says is a 30 percent increase over last year.
Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion. The CEO of Tesla has fired several Twitter employees, while many employees have also quit. Major advertisers also left Twitter over concerns about hate speech on the platform. In addition, there is a fear among advertisers that there will be turmoil because Twitter would have been weakened by the influx of employees since Musk’s acquisition.
