The airline affiliated with the SATA Group, which operates international flights, explained in a statement to the press that these new routes are in addition to the route that the company was already operating last year, which connects Madeira to New York.
“These two direct flights are the culmination of continuous work, in cooperation with our partners in the United States, Canada and the Madeira Archipelago, which has allowed us once again to expand the offer to this archipelago with these direct flights, which complement the operation from New York and the flights between the Azores and the island of Madeira, offered by Air Lines. Azores has been flying for years,” confirms Graça Silva, Sales, Marketing and Communications Director at Grupo SATA.
Both companies have one flight per week, departing to Toronto on Friday and returning to Madeira on Saturday, and in the case of Boston, departure from this American city is on Tuesday and return on Wednesday.
“In addition to these direct flights, there are seven weekly flights, departing from Boston or Toronto, via Ponta Delgada, which will also benefit travelers wishing to travel from North America to Madeira and vice versa.”
