The Russian military launched 17 drones and missiles in airstrikes last night on targets across Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram. Energy supplies in the northeast of the country were affected. The Ukrainian Air Force said its anti-aircraft system destroyed 14 drones and one missile over provinces in the west, east and south of the country.
The governor of the northeastern state of Kharkiv, Oleh Sinyhopov, announced last night that the city of Liputin had been subjected to Russian missile strikes. According to the governor, there were no deaths. Many buildings are said to have been damaged.
The southeastern province of Dnipropetrovsk also became the target of several airstrikes, Governor Serhiy Lysak reported on the Telegram app. After a drone attack on a power plant, electricity was cut off in parts of the city of Pavlohrad. There were no deaths or injuries.
Russia has launched missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities almost every day since the beginning of winter. Ukrainian energy supplies are often the target. This regularly causes power outages in Ukrainian cities.
