In December 2020, Norton Commando 961 has already been announced or confirmed. Now Norton is finally ready to introduce the Commando 961.
Engine power and equipment
The new Commando 961 will be available in Sport and Cafe Racer variants and will be powered by an air- and oil-cooled 961cc parallel system. The mass produces 76.8 hp at 7250 rpm and the maximum torque is 81 Nm. The block is housed in a new frame, and is hand-welded at Norton’s new headquarters in Solihull, England.
The front is lined with a 43mm adjustable inverted fork from Öhlins. Two dampers with external cabinets running aft, also from Öhlins.
Braking is via radially-mounted four-piston monobloc Brembo brakes, which are allowed to bite into two 320mm floating brake discs. The exhaust system is made of stainless steel.

The 17-inch forged aluminum wheels are fitted with Dunlop Sportmax GPR 300 tires. Black wheels can also be ordered as an option for the Commando 961 Sport in Matrix Black. In addition to the color Matrix Black, a Manx Platinum color variant is also available, this applies to sports and also to Cafe Racer.
The Sport is equipped with a black anodized, tapered steering wheel and a higher compound. On the other hand, The Cafe Racer has aluminum clamps. Both variants get a carbon fiber rear fender and a color-matched saddle. A passenger seat is offered as an option.
Currently, the Norton Commando 961 is only available in the UK, with prices starting at £16,499.
