Bus operator EBS will change part of the RRReis bus timetable in Flevoland on Sunday. Modifications are necessary because many buses are out of service due to staff shortages. The new tentative timetable should ensure that things go better. In this message you can read about the changes to your bus line.
Travelers to and from Noordoostpolder in particular have to deal with schedule changes. The new SnelRRReis line 215 between Urk and Kampen will be canceled again for the time being. According to EBS, the old route 141 is the alternative. The early 5:36am and 6:36am flights from Emmelord to Urk on this line will be cancelled.
The schedule for Line 77 between Emmeloord and Lemmer will not change. But other buses are used on this route. Tour buses will operate on busy roads. During quiet hours they are replaced by vans that can accommodate a maximum of 8 people.
Bus line 214 between Steenwijk, Emmeloord and Lelystad will often stop at Nagele – Domineesweg bus station. According to EBS, there should be more travel options. Smaller buses with a maximum capacity of 8 people also run here from 9:00pm.
EBS has been providing bus transportation in the vast majority of Flevoland since December under the brand name RRReis. This name is also found on buses in Overijssel and Gelderland. The three provinces entered into contracts with various carriers and required these companies to use the name RRReis.
Buses to Harderwijk
EBS adapts a number of buses from Flevoland to Hardervik. For example, line 216 from Almere Stad to Harderwijk will run only once per hour between 09:00 and 12:00 instead of twice.
On working days, three evening trips on line 142 between Nijkerk and Harderwijk will be replaced by line 144 between Harderwijk and Zeewolde. Line 144 will also run once every hour Monday through Friday evenings.
The morning journey of line 142 will also be shortened. This currently departs from Amersfoort Vathorst station at 6:44 am, but will soon start at Nijkerk station at 7:01 am.
Cuts
SnelRRReis line 207 between Harderwijk and Batavia Stad will be divided into two separate lines. Just as before the new concession, the bus from Harderwijk now stops at Lelystad Centrum stop. Line 3 will take the route from the station to Batavia Stadium and will run every half hour throughout the week. This means that city line 13 will be cancelled.
Line 207 will now also run over Larserdreef and Middendreef again. This should prevent delays in hospital. Times remain largely the same on weekdays.
Better train connectivity
Changes are also being made to other scheduled services. For example, line 147 from Dronten via Harderwijk to Barneveld is divided into two parts. The bus now stops in Harderwijk. Modifications are being made to better connect buses to trains in Dronten and Harderwijk.
From Harderwijk the new bus line 114 will continue to Barneveld. This line runs once every hour between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
The departure times of line 218 between Urk and Lelystad will also be adjusted, so that there is a better connection in Lelystad with the train between Lelystad, Almere and Amsterdam.
Changes in Lelystad
The urban transport timetable in Lelystad will also be adjusted. The City 5 service between the station and Lelycentre will only run once per hour on weekdays between 9:00am and 2:00pm and on Saturdays. The same thing happens with line 8 between the station and Hollands Haute.
A number of trips between the station and the Aviodrome will be cancelled, around 9:00am and 6:00pm. This number 7 bus line runs twice per hour during rush hour and once per hour during off-peak hours and early evening.
Line 11 between the station and Lelystad-Hafen will be cancelled. Line 1 will be extended in the evenings, with a half-hour service between Lelystad Haven and the station running all day Monday to Saturday.
Flawless
The downsizing was previously announced by EBS. According to EBS's Martin Spargaren, the launch of the new franchise in December did not go smoothly. He said earlier: “We have failed our passengers, and I am very disappointed about that. We want and must solve these problems.”
According to the carrier, the new schedule should ensure that far fewer flights are cancelled. In principle it lasts until December. Then EBS must again have enough drivers to drive the schedule pledged in the tender.
