There have been a number of online shopping scams so far. But this is the first time that fraud has now appeared. The case includes e-commerce giant Flipkart and Amazon. In this new case, the customer buys a phone with a full payment from Amazon and receives a notification from Flipkart that the device will be blocked if he does not pay the remaining amount. Let’s find out who is to blame in this case.
Twitter user JBhattacharji tweeted details of the case. According to him, he has bought a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus smartphone from Amazon India. The phone was sold by Divine India in November 2020 for Rs 57,449 on Amazon. Now, 12 months later, a message has arrived from Flipkart asking them to pay the rest or upgrade their smartphone. Flipkart warns in the notice that smartphones will be banned if they don’t pay.

The customer then realized that the smartphone was purchased from Flipkart under the Smart Upgrade Plan. Where you can buy a smartphone by paying only 70 percent and after 12 months you have to pay 30 percent or buy a new smartphone and upgrade it. The phone was later sold on Amazon by the seller under this offer on Flipkart and the customer bought it from there. The customer said that Flipkart will not help in this case. There was no immediate reaction from Amazon.
