Paagman Library will launch a new store concept in Westfield Mall, Netherlands, early next year. The store at Leidschendam measures seven hundred square meters.
The Hague Library announced that it has reached an agreement with developer Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. Fabian Pagman, General Manager, Paagman: “From the start, we were drawn to the ambitions of Westfield Mall of the Netherlands. These ambitions are in line with what we stand for as a library: innovative, high-quality, yet accessible and extremely attractive.”
The Paagman store concept means that lectures and interviews are organized regularly in the libraries, with local, national and international authors. These can be accessed for free. Additionally, the company announced that the new store will have an amazing and innovative design.
As they put it, this is the first time in more than fifteen years that a new library of this size has been established in the Netherlands. This is Paagman’s fifth Dutch store, which has been located in Statenkwartier in The Hague since 1951. In addition to books, the company also sells office supplies, CDs and LP disks, both physical and online.
Westfield Mall of the Netherlands will be an indoor shopping center with 230 stores. This is also due to open in 2020.
