New whistleblower Kim Potters will only begin discussions with all party leaders in the House in two weeks. This came during a press conference this morning. This week he will speak to experts about different possible forms of minority government, and next week the House of Representatives will be in recess.
“It became clear in yesterday's discussion that not everyone has a clear idea of what it means to tolerate or form a government outside parliament,” Potters said. “It's important that we know each other's photos.”
Today he will speak with former informant Ronald Plasterk, who will transfer the configuration file. Tomorrow Potters will speak with Hermann Tijink Willink, a five-time whistleblower who has written books on managerial culture, and Deputy Premier Tom de Graaf. According to Potters, both have “considerable experience in issues related to the democratic constitutional state.”
During the holiday week, Potters says he will conduct a “thorough analysis” of the different options. According to Potters, the week of February 26 will be a “marathon week” to which all parliamentary group leaders will be invited. “I expect everyone to accept this invitation.” GroenLinks-PvdA, Party for the Animals, Volt and Dink yesterday voted against appointing Potters as informant in a four-week “temporary phase” GroenLinks-PvdA leader Timmermans said Potters should only work for the PVV, VVD, NSC and BBB starts talking .
Potters said he was surprised that Wilders asked him to be an informant. He added: “But I want to make a contribution over the next four weeks, focusing on studying the different forms of possible government.” The PvdA member will temporarily cease his work as President of the Socio-Economic Council (SER).
