On 31 January, the Dutch Sports Council published the advice “Netherlands, get up! – Get adequate daily exercise intuitively.”
The presentation will take place at Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:00 am At the Nieuwspoort press center in The Hague.
With advice Holland, whoa! NLsportraad highlights the urgent need for poverty practice in the Netherlands. Many Dutch people exercise too little and sit too much. 56% of the Dutch do not meet the guidelines for exercise as advised by the Health Board. Lack of exercise is a silent disaster, causing 5,800 deaths annually and €2.7 billion in avoidable healthcare costs.
At the meeting, Liane van den Hoek, chair of the committee that prepared the advice (and advisor until January 1, 2024), will present the conclusions and recommendations of the advice. Holland, whoa!. The advice is provided to Secretary of State Martin van Oijen at the Department of Health, Social Care and Sport. Then there will be an opportunity to ask questions. A printed copy of the advice is available for attendees to take with them.
