Princess Elisabeth of Belgium will study at Harvard University

Princess Elizabeth leaves for Boston to pursue her master's degree Public policy. A two-year master's degree completes the 22-year-old princess's university education.

Philipp van Parijs, professor emeritus of philosophy at the University of Leuven, tells VRT that he expects Elisabeth's training at Harvard to be an “unforgettable experience” for her. “Not only is it an honor to be at such an elite university, but Elizabeth will also come into contact with the most interesting people from all over the world. This is not the first time that Princess Elizabeth has traveled abroad for training. She previously obtained a BA in History and Politics from the University of Oxford, UK. She also completed military training at the Royal Military School in Belgium. She follows in her cousin's footsteps

Princess Elizabeth is not the first member of the Belgian royal family to study at Harvard. Prince Joachim, Princess Astrid's son, graduated there in 2021. Elizabeth's father, King Philip, also studied in the United States, but at Stanford University.
