Foof, 07-23-2024. 5:58 AM. After Germany (Nauru Straubing), France (Volley Nancy) and Switzerland (Volley Lugano), the Bock Hoggers will continue their volleyball career in a fifth European country. Next season they will play in Portugal with four-time league champions FC Porto. In the Netherlands they have played with VC Velden, FAST and Talent Team Papendal.
She herself says the following about the move from Switzerland to Portugal on the FC Porto website: “I was very happy when I heard that there was interest from FC Porto. It is a great opportunity to challenge myself again at a club with a long history and a passionate fan base.
I know it's a team that works hard and reaches a high level. On top of that, I've heard a lot of positive things about the club and the fans. I've been very impressed by that. It's a big family, and that was a big factor in my decision to go there.
“I want to grow individually and help FC Porto move forward. I will give my best for the team, the club and the fans in every game and I hope that as a player I can contribute to the club’s future success.”
And more: “Portugal is a beautiful country and I am very excited to be moving to Porto, a beautiful city, beautiful weather and good food. I am also looking forward to seeing Lauren Page again, who I already played with in France.
