Republicans in the US House of Representatives have launched an investigation into the election fraud case brought by the Attorney General of the state of Georgia. Former President Donald Trump is expected to appear at a prison on the night from Thursday to Friday (Dutch time).

Trump and his allies are facing criminal charges in Georgia for trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
There are “serious concerns” about whether Attorney General Fannie Willis acted for political reasons, according to a letter sent to her. The Republican Party has a majority in the House of Representatives.
The letter was drafted by Republican Jim Jordan, a Trump ally and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. In it, it asks whether Willis coordinated the statewide investigation with the Justice Department and whether she used federal taxpayer money. Trump is also on trial at the national level.
