Sandy, Utah Real Salt Lake striker Rubio Robin continued his hot streak in RSL with a nice kick in the first half by bike against San Jose.
Late in the first half, Rubio Rubin got the ball into the penalty area on the field in bike kick mode to give RSL the lead.
When the ball was thrown inside, it went to Damir Krilach, who sent the ball to Robin. After the ball hit Robben, he put it on his chest before forming the bike kick and the ball went into the back of the net to give RSL a 1–0 lead over San Jose in the 43rd minute.
Smyk scored his third Major League Soccer goal in several matches this season after he scored twice in the opening match against Sporting Kansas City last week.
Robin was signed to RSL on January 7, 2021 after spending the 2020 season with San Diego Loyal of the United Soccer League. He started his professional career in 2014 in the Netherlands with FC Utrecht. Then he went to Norway to play with Stabaek in 2017. Then Robin went to Mexico to play with Tijuana in 2018 and Dorados in 2019.
Robin also has international experience playing for the United States U-17 national team from 2011 to 2013 and competed in the FIFA U-20 World Cup with the United States.
