Russia wants to take filmmaker Klim Shibenko and actress to the International Space Station within six months to shoot a movie that is partially set in space.
The departure is scheduled for September 20 and is scheduled to return to Earth in October, Pavel Laso, head of the Astronaut Training Center, reported in Roskij Cosmos magazine.
The state news agency Ria Nosti reported two weeks ago that about 3,000 actresses had applied for the role. There are still about twenty women in the race. There are actresses, but there are also pilots, psychologists, and science personnel.
The movie is titled “Wysow,” and, according to Roskosmos, the Russian space agency, should be starring in astronauts. The United States also plans to shoot on the International Space Station.
