Boxer Crawford successfully defended his world welterweight title
10.40 am: American Terrence Crawford successfully defended his world welterweight title with the WBO. He defeated fellow American Shawn Porter by technical knockout in Las Vegas.
Crawford, 34, decided to fight in the 10th round. He knocked Porter to the ground twice and celebrated his ninth straight victory by knockout. Crawford remains undefeated after 38 fights. Porter suffered his fourth defeat in 36 matches and his first by knockout.
The 34-year-old Porter said after his defeat that he would stop working as a professional boxer. “I am retiring. I had already decided on it. The outcome of this match played no part in my decision. I fought the best boxers. It was nice. I never wanted to box until I turned 40.”
Superstar Antetokonmo leads Milwaukee basketball players to victory
10.35 am: Greek basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Orlando Magic with 32 points: 117-108. The 26-year-old NBA champion star was also good at 20 rebounds.
