Coach Hammink leaves basketball players ZZ Leiden
13:09: Basketball coach Geert Hammink stops by ZZ Leiden. The 52-year-old coach exchanges club for Frankfurt, Germany, where he becomes head coach of Fraport Skyliners. ZZ Leiden reports this Friday.
Hammink still has a contract at Leiden for next season. “We didn’t want to get in his way and decided to accede to his request not to terminate his contract,” says Marcel Verburg, president of ZZ Leiden.
Hammink took leadership for two years as a coach for basketball players from Leiden. With the team, he became a national champion in 2021 and conquered the Super Cup. Last week, ZZ Leiden basketball players won their first title in the BNXT League, the competition between the best clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium. “Ghaert has done really well with the team over the past two seasons and brought us new achievements,” says Verborg. “We wish him all the success in Frankfurt.”
UEFA supports AZ. a fine

The match ended in a 2-2 draw after extra time, meaning AZ was eliminated.
In addition to the fine, AZ also received a suspended sentence. If chaos occurs again within the next two years, some stands should remain empty during the first European game that Arizona will play next.
