Elon Musk has clearly left no stone unturned to claim his controversial multi-billion dollar bonus.
Shortly before Tesla shareholders vote again on a $1 billion stock package for company CEO Elon Musk, humanoid robots are now reportedly working in a factory. But what they do is still unclear.
Tesla says it has two “Optimus” humanoid robots that perform tasks autonomously in the factory. However, the electric car manufacturer left open exactly what tasks are included in its post on the X online platform.
What's happening at Tesla?
The news was just one point in a long list of Tesla milestones aimed at convincing shareholders to vote again for a $1 billion compensation package from company Chairman Elon Musk.
In April, Musk said Tesla's human-like robot could carry out simple manufacturing tasks in a lab. They want to bring the machines into production halls for limited use by the end of the year.
It should also be offered for sale to other companies by the end of 2025. Musk emphasized at the time that Optimus would, in his opinion, be more valuable in the long term than anything else at Tesla.
The court refused the reward
Tesla shareholders will vote again Thursday on a stock package worth tens of billions of dollars for company Chairman Elon Musk, which was torpedoed in court. Meanwhile, according to the electric car manufacturer's wishes, it must decide whether to move the company's official headquarters from Delaware to Texas.
A stock package approved by shareholders in 2018, then worth $56 billion, was overturned by a Delaware judge after an investor lawsuit.
I came to the conclusion that Musk had too much background influence when approving the generous compensation on Tesla's board to be able to talk about a fair process. Shareholders have been left in a state of uncertainty about this, meaning they have not had the opportunity to make a well-considered decision.
