Toyota has announced that it will showcase its mid-range 100% electric SUV at the upcoming Shanghai International Auto Show.
Toyota for the first time announced the existence of such a model at the Kenshiki event in Europe. The SUV will be built on Toyota’s new e-TNGA platform, which is versatile and easily adaptable to different types of cars.
The basic principle of the e-TNGA architecture is based on the fact that the basic elements remain the same, while the others differ. This approach allows for different differences in vehicle width, length, wheelbase and height.
The e-TNGA platform is also capable of providing front, rear or all-wheel drive, as well as installing batteries and electric motors of different capacities to adapt to different types of cars and user profiles.
The versatility and flexibility of e-TNGA technology allows Toyota to design and build cars that are not only 100% electric, but also exciting to drive and look great.
This year’s Shanghai International Auto Show will be held from April 21-28, and will be available to the press on April 19-20.
