The good news for IndyCar fans who don't have a Ziggo Sport Totaal package (and are Ziggo customers) is that 1.5 hours of qualifying are now being broadcast on the Ziggo Open channel. However, the broadcast of Saturday's qualifiers no longer begins at 8:00pm, but rather at 8:35pm on Open Channel and Ziggo Sport Select. On the Ziggo Sport channel, broadcasting stops at 9:00 pm, while on the open channel, it continues until 10:00 pm. Ziggo Sport Racing will then join at 9:15pm, which will be there until the end of qualifying on Saturday.
Sunday's qualifying broadcast on Ziggo Sport Racing must be shared via a “switch format” with the NASCAR race on COTA. The broadcast will begin at 7:00 PM and can show the full battle for the bottom row of the network in the “Last Chance” qualifier. After this training, we will move on to the NASCAR race which will start around 8:30 p.m. The battle for pole will begin at 9:00 PM with the Fast Nine race at Indianapolis, which will likely alternate with the NASCAR race.
