Sony Xperia Pro-I is one of the most expensive flagship smartphones of 2021. Last week it started selling in different countries with prices ranging from $1700 to $2120, and the novelty was very popular in China.
What is known
China is one of the few countries where the Sony Xperia Pro-I with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of RAM is sold. The smartphone cost $1,720, and the first batch was sold out within a few days. How many smartphones were sold, Sony did not say.
Recall that the Sony Xperia Pro-I is equipped with a 1″ 20MP image sensor, but only 90% of the matrix is used. The model features a telephoto lens, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, ZEISS T* optics and a Snapdragon 888 processor.
The smartphone has received IP65 / IP68 water protection, the latest generation of Gorilla Glass and a 6.5-inch AMOLED display. The built-in battery capacity is 4500 mAh. In the US, the Sony Xperia Pro-I was priced at $1,799, and the model is available with 512GB of permanent memory. In the UK, the cost is £1,699, or $2,120.
