In a statement, Biden campaign spokesperson Andrew Bates described Popolinsky’s existence as “a hopeless and pathetic farce”.
Trump has repeatedly accused Joe and Hunter Biden of unethical practices in China and Ukraine. No evidence has been verified to support the corruption allegations, and Biden has described them as false and discredited.
Trump’s efforts to expose the dirt on trade ties with Hunter Biden in Ukraine led to the impeachment of the president.
Trump and his children have been accused of having their own conflicts of interest since entering the White House in 2017, mostly related to real estate and family businesses in the United States and abroad.
The surprise guest Thursday reminds us of Trump’s discussion with his rival Hillary Clinton in 2016 in which he invited women who accused her husband, former President Bill Clinton, of sexual misconduct as guests. Trump has faced similar charges, which he denied.
