Vera Pau will be coming to Neuhausen on Wednesday evening, March 27th. The football coach is considered one of the pioneers of women's football. She was the first woman to obtain the highest coaching diploma in Dutch football.
Women's football is still growing, both in the Netherlands and around the world. This is also noticeable in local football clubs. More teams are registered each year and there is now a team in almost every age group.
Dutch women play for top clubs, but the national team has just failed to qualify for the Olympics. Is women's football in the Netherlands at its peak or is there room for improvement?

What makes women's football so popular? On the evening of Wednesday 27 March, a pioneer in women's football will speak on this topic at the Verhalen Café in Die Spiel. As a defender, Pau achieved the role of captain of the Dutch women's team. Between 1983 and 1998, she played 85 international matches with the Dutch national team.
Pau was under contract with the Dutch Football Association between 2004 and 2010, where she served as national coach of the Dutch women's national team. She has coached several national teams and witnessed the development of women's football into what it is today.
