Arnot Hauben donned his walking boots again last year for a new season of Dwarsdoor de Lage Landen. This series can be seen on VRT 1 this fall at the earliest. However, those who can't wait can contact the nonprofit as early as April.
The Dutch public broadcaster will be the first to broadcast the series.
Our northern neighbors are not only crazy about Tom Weiss, they also carry Arnot Hauben deep in their hearts. The report maker can always count on a million viewers and more with his shows. Hauben is broadcast by VPRO, which purchased the series from VRT. The second series of “Dwars Door de Lage Landen” was produced at the request of VPRO, and VRT then “buys” the series from the Dutch.
Since this season of “Dwarsdoor de Lage Landen” was made at the request of the VPRO, the Netherlands was shown a little more. For example, Arnott wanders the Netherlands with his crew for five of the eight episodes. They leave in Friesland. But nothing changes in the concept itself. Arnott walks and talks to people here and there. “We didn't have to introduce ourselves this time. It might be like, 'Hey, these Belgians.' The doors opened very easily,” he says in Het Laatste Nieuws.
“Dwarsdoor de Lage Landen” is produced by Arnout Hauben's production company De Bedrijven, among others. Episodes will be shown on NPO from April, and you can watch them on VRT 1 in the fall.
