education
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly present in everyday life. It also plays a key role in the education sector in Burgenland: experts from the University of Special Education have been developing their own artificial intelligence for six months. The first area of application has now been presented.
A new chatbot is set to revolutionize the search for internship opportunities. In a first step, teachers, especially primary teachers, can chat with the university's advanced training program and receive answers in real time, as if they had an advisor on hand, says Sabine Wise, head of Burgenland University of Education. This tool would give teachers the opportunity to find a suitable program of additional education and training more easily, in a more needs-oriented and dialogue-based way.
Winkler: Report opportunities and risks
A chatbot for teachers is only the first step to your AI system. More tools are to follow. The digital initiative is supported by the state Department of Education. Even if artificial intelligence in the education sector does not always have a positive impact, action must be taken, said State Councilor Daniela Winkler (SPÖ). You must impart knowledge about opportunities and risks to teachers and therefore to students as well.
