Season 11 of The Walking Dead will be released on Netflix next month. The final season of the popular series was divided into no less than three parts. Its first two episodes have now aired in the US.
The deal on Netflix continues
Over the past year, there has been some doubt as to whether the deal between Netflix and The Walking Dead will continue. The series debuted weekly on Disney+, at the same time as its US broadcast. However, Netflix has now announced that new episodes will also appear on the streaming service. How many episodes remains the question.
Eight or sixteen episodes?
As mentioned, Season 11 of The Walking Dead was divided into three parts. This is partly due to the pandemic, which has caused tapings to be structured differently, and partly because the final season has become too long. Seasons of The Walking Dead typically consist of sixteen episodes, with season ten adding a number of specials. This eleventh season contains 24 episodes. New episodes will be released on Netflix on August 22. The question now is whether this will relate to the first eight or the first sixteen.
