StudeerSnel.nl (active overseas under the name StuDocu) in Amsterdam, EdTech, raised $ 50 million from Partek in a Series B funding round. StudeerSnel offers students all over the world a platform to share knowledge and thus enhance their development. StudeerSnel is investing capital in further expansion into new and already active countries and enlarging the team in order to fulfill its mission of serving all of the 200 million students in higher education worldwide. StudeerSnel currently reaches 15 million students from 2,000 universities and colleges in more than 60 countries.
StudeerSnel’s online content library was built from Delft’s founders’ student rooms. During their school days, the founders, including CEO Marnex Brewer, believed that gathering all useful study material from fellow students could be more efficient, and the idea of StudeerSnel was born. On the online platform, students can mutually share their study materials, such as lecture notes, abstracts, and training materials, in order to share knowledge for study as efficiently as possible. Investments raised from previous funding rounds in 2015, 2018 and 2019 have begun to expand into markets such as Australia, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. In 2013, the StuDocu name was created to better serve international students. The platform has since grown to become an international leader for sharing study documents.
