ZEIST / UTRECHT – Utrechtse Keet Oldenbeuving (16) and Zeist’s Roos Zwetsloot (20) did a good job again on their skateboard. In a race in Des Moines, the United States, Zwetsloot finished third, and Oldenbeuving finished sixth.
From a young age, Kate Oldenboving has been inevitable from her skateboard. In 2015, a documentary film, Skatekeet, was released, about the talent who was 10 years old at the time who emerged with her talent in the world of skateboarding dominated by boys. Since then, her ski career has been going smoothly. In 2019 she won a European title. The bronze was then for Ross Zwitslot.
The duo will play again next week at the World Championships in Rome. Skateboarding this year will be part of the Summer Olympics for the first time. The top three in the World Games Championships qualify directly, and the other 16 are divided based on the global rankings. Roos Zwetsloot is currently ranked 8th on that list, while Keet Oldenbeuving is ranked 14th.
