Film festivals are not what they used to be.
The 2020 Venice Film Festival kicks off, and it looks a lot different than it did last year. First, masks are everywhere.
Cate Blanchett arrived wearing this outfit that she coordinated with her outfit.
In addition to the masks, attendees this year pass through thermal scanners at entry points, and will of course be social distances, while at exhibition and press conferences, according to festival director Alberto Barbera, at Variety.

In addition, attendees from outside Europe or “some European countries, such as Spain” will undergo “multiple smear tests”.
The red carpet has also been redesigned to be broadcast live for fans to view, as they will not be able to view it from the sidelines.
There will be far fewer American celebrities at the festival this year due to the pandemic.

You can expect many of this year’s fashion moments to include a mask.
