The film is a flashy musical recording of the performances the hugely popular American singer gave in the United States last summer. The film was only in theaters for a week and has already grossed around €100 million. Since tickets for Swift’s live concerts have sold out in short order, the film is the way for many fans to see her on stage.
Blistering and dancing
For many Swifties, it clearly doesn’t matter whether they’re in a concert hall or a movie theater. Throughout the film, people scream, dance and sing to their hearts’ content. Sometimes, the cinema staff would come and ask if everyone wanted to sit quietly again, because well… that’s how it should be at the cinema. or not?
What do you think: Should you sit quietly in the cinema (even during a musical film)?
Ann (12): Agreed
“I understand that as a fan you want to sing, but on the other hand, there may also be people who go there to really watch this movie. It’s okay to sing quietly and enjoy yourself, but let’s just sit there.”
C (8): Agreed
“It’s not necessarily normal to be wild in the cinema, because some people can’t pay attention anymore. If I was in the cinema and people were doing that, I would ask if they could slow down a little.
