You can buy or order LEGO from almost any toy store. But for many builders, it's still worth visiting the official LEGO Store. For example, you can find collections there that you do not see on the shelves of many other stores.
LEGO stores in the Netherlands
LEGO stores in the Netherlands are much more numerous than you might expect from our small country. There are no less than four. The only drawback is that the four of them are a bit crowded in a few towns so close to each other. Can be found at:
- Amsterdam (Kalverstraat 57)
- The Hague (Spuistraat 10)
- Leidschendam (Mall of Holland, Birkenhof 2)
- Utrecht (Houge Katharini Pass 7)
It can be a fun trip if you don't live nearby. Fortunately, many of these locations are close to the station. The Hoog Catharijne shopping center in particular is located next to Utrecht Central Station.
Lego stores in Belgium
Unfortunately, the choice is not great in Belgium. Both stores are located in Flanders, so here too, part of the country has to make a long journey. Stores in Belgium can be found at:
- Brussels (117-119 Rue Neuve)
- Wijningem (Turnhostebahn 5)
Both stores in Belgium are somewhat more modestly equipped. For example, both the Minifigure Factory and Mosaic Maker are missing. You will of course find a wall of loose stones and demonstrations are being organised.
Also remember that it can be very busy at the LEGO Store. You may have to wait a while before you can enter. On holidays or if there's something special to do at the store, it's wise to make some time for it. Anyway, it's a nice walk, especially with kids.
