Kirkdriel – From October 8, the Driels Museum will dedicate an exhibition to the famous Kirkdriel artist Wim van Os.
Wim was born in Kirkdriel in 1943. His artistic talent was noticed at an early age. After taking private lessons, he went to study at the Artists School in Westport in the United States. Here he mastered a variety of styles and techniques, including drawing from models. After that, he developed his own expressive style. His unique and vital work has also attracted international attention.
Source of inspiration
His work is now in important private and corporate collections throughout Europe and the United States. In addition, Wim van Os has taught generations of Dreilen residents, as well as people from outside the region, a variety of techniques and artistic expressions. Both beginners and advanced students found an enthusiastic teacher and a source of inspiration in his studio “Uit Vrije Hand”.
The Drills Museum is open on Sundays from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and Mondays from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. Entrance is free, coffee is ready. For more information see www.drielsmuseum.nl
