It's like going to a concert featuring twelve of your favorite bands from the past, all on stage at the same time, at their best. That's probably the best way to describe the upcoming Supercars from the '90s exhibition at the Le Mans Museum.
A minimum of 500 horsepower, a top speed of 300 km/h, and a (very) limited production run are the criteria for a temporary place on the museum floor. The exhibition deliberately focuses on the 1990s, the period following the collapse of the notorious supercar bubble.
The best cars of the 90s
Due to declining buyer (read: investor) interest and financial distress among manufacturers, many supercars have remained more exclusive than originally intended. Which makes it even more interesting thirty years later.
In the end, twelve cars from the 1990s made it through the ballot that had never been featured in this collection before. A few of them have never been seen in person in our country before, such as the stubborn Vector W8, the Toyota GT-One and Nissan R390 GT1 Street cars and the unique Mercedes-Benz C112 and BMW M8 prototypes.
But the Aston Martin Vantage V600, Bugatti EB110 Super Sport, Ferrari F50, Jaguar XJ220, McLaren F1 and road versions of the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR and Porsche 911 GT1 are also worth a look. From July 5 to September 1, you will have the opportunity to meet your heroes from last year.
